About the Artist

      Susan is a colorist who paints in oils focusing on

themes indicative of her coastal lifestyle. She prefers to work on location, 'En

Plein Air', to capture the light and essence of a particular subject by actually being there.

The marine culture with the love of the water has been the mainstream experience of her

adult life. She has owned and run a marine graphics business, sailed both

racing and cruising sailboats and lived and worked

in Oriental, NC for three decades. She paints along the Atlantic Coast near 

her home in the south as well as north to the coast of Maine .
